Transformation Consultant Delivers 90-Slide Deck Recommending Second Deck
The second deck is expected to recommend a workshop.
A digital transformation consultant presented a 90-slide assessment to a family-owned manufacturer on Thursday, concluding that the company requires a deeper assessment.
The deck, delivered eleven weeks into a twelve-week engagement, contained four slides of findings, sixty-one slides of methodology, and a slide titled “Our Approach to Approach.” Slide 88 recommended a follow-on engagement. Slide 89 was a photograph of a bridge.
The consultant, who wore a blazer, has not opened the company’s order-entry system. He was not asked to. His statement of work specifies interviews.
“What we’re really seeing here is a people-and-process challenge,” he told the owner, whose people had already told him it was the third tab.
The engagement concluded Friday. The second deck is expected in November and is understood to recommend a workshop.
